Su, I mean seriously, do you want me to be so immaculate when I talk to you? Not fluffing my word? That will make me sound so fake and gay. Hahaha.
Okie, anyway I was reading this on my way back. It really rock!
God Doesn't Need Us to Serve Him
God doesn't need us to serve Him. What a blow to human pride! I have heard it said that we are the only hands that God has, we are the only feet that He has, and we are His only eyes, ears, and mouth. That's a scary thought. Jesus said that, if necessary, the rocks could cry out praise to Him. God once used a donkey to deliver a message to a prophet. While it's true that the Bible teaches that Christians are the body of Christ, we find ourselves in a precarious situation if we suggest that God's eternal agenda hinges on the actions of human beings.
The Bible says in Acts 17:25, "Neither is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, since He Himself gives to all life and breath and all things." God doesn't need us. If you believe otherwise,
I encourage you to take an honest inventory of all your abilities and assets and then compare those to the omnnipotence of a God who stood on the vast edge of nothingness and said, "Let there be!" and there was. Stop reading and think about that for a moment. Now, what was it you have that God needs?
If you are troubled by the news that God doesn't need us, let me give you a word you will be glad to hear. The good news is that
God wants us. He has set His love on us and has a desiret o enjoy intimacy with us. While I used to believe that Christians are saved to serve. Jesus gave a different reason for God giving us eternal life. In a prayer to His Father, He said, "
This is eternal life, that they may know Thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom Thou has sent" (John 17:3)
Jesus said that the reason we have been saved is so that we may know him and His Father intimately.

The above passage came in very timely for me. Esp after the history makers camp which challenges the youth to serve. I am totally for it. But I suppose I need to remind myself that my service unto Him is a natural overflor of the love relationship that I have with Him. When I focus on performance, Christian service will become perfunctory and lifeless.
I had many many fleeting thoughts today. One of which is to return back to Children Church to serve. Gosh the children are so adorable. And the many friendships that were forged. I treasure them. AND THEN HOW???? haha...
As my biological clock is doing its dirty job on me, I am so tempted to go out and spend a tiny itsy witsy bit of my exuberance youth down partying at clubs. Okie, once the moment is over, I am so toasted! I wouldnt want to be that uncle clubbing at the age of 30. Besides, its so damn fun. Haha. Anyhow, I took on the offer of clubbing for my new year countdown. I guess, what I read earlier should be very timely. I dont care what people have to say. This is my blog. I call the shots here. I rather be real than put up a false front and share revelations and revelation of yadada yadada God's love for me. Honestly, we are not over the top high all the time right? So I guess, its that time of the month again for me. Haha.
Heavenly Father,
I thank You that You see me faithfull. I know there is something lacking in this relationship that I have with You. Fill that voidness and emptiness. I would love to serve back in Children Church. But I am afraid of commitment and the time factor. AND THEN HOW?? I need the strength for tommorow cause I will be in camp. Haha. Give me that portion of divine favour for tommorow. Love You cause You first love me. Holy Spirit, teach me. Teach me. Mould me to be that man that You have called me. Though I may not see it now, You said that You have a plan for me.
In Jesus name, Amen!
